Issue 60
Dear Parents,
Despite being a four day school week because of the public holiday, it has been a really busy one again at TLC.
Our Year 11, 12 and 13 students have been sitting their internal assessments which will help us in advising them what they need to do to get the top grades when we submit them for this summer’s cancelled IGCSEs, AS and A levels. Our students have risen to the task and have shown great dedication to their revision from the teachers’ view of the papers that have been marked so far.
Next week is another four day school week – there’s another public holiday on Thursday and the students will finish their assessments on Friday.
Continuing the theme of dedicated students, we have our largest ever contingent of students entering this weekend’s Kangourou International Maths Competition and we are proud to say that the largest number of students taking part in the Paphos region will be TLC students! We wish them all well and look forward to many medals when the results are announced.
Once again, after the visit from the Ministry of Health’s testing team, TLC has had no Covid-19 cases amongst its students or staff. We have maintained a 100% record since returning to school in September and will continue to do all we can to ensure the safety of staff, students and their families. Next week, because of the public holidays, the testing team will visit on Wednesday.
Usually we move to our summer uniform after Easter but this year the holiday period is late so we are going to change to the summer uniform from Monday 5th April. If you need to buy new items, you can order them from the uniform shop on the school website.
Over the next few weeks, we will be writing to you with information on our annual Summer Camp and give you details on exciting developments for the curriculum for the new school year.
Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you again on Monday.
Kind regards
David Lewis
Principal
