Primary Prefects Lead the Way

Through our ‘Lead the Way’ initiative, our Primary Prefects took on the challenge of planning and delivering their own project from start to finish. The initiative gave students valuable hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, organisation and communication, while encouraging them to think about how they could make a positive and lasting contribution to their school community.

The Prefects decided to raise funds for a new outdoor clock for the Primary playground. To make their idea a reality, they organised a 6K Fun Day, taking responsibility for helping to plan the event and working together towards their fundraising goal.

Their efforts successfully raised the funds needed to purchase the new clock, which now has a permanent place in the Primary playground. Building on last year’s school bell project, the clock also features an engraved plaque recognising the Prefects’ contribution and will serve as a lasting reminder of what students can achieve when they work together towards a shared goal.

At our End of Year Assembly, the Prefects proudly presented the completed clock to the school community, marking the successful conclusion of a project they had worked hard to deliver throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment, enthusiasm and teamwork shown by our Prefects throughout the ‘Lead the Way’ initiative. The project has given them the opportunity to develop important leadership skills while leaving something behind for future Primary students to enjoy.
