Anglia English Elementary Level (Common European Framework A2)
The classes will cover all the language skills; speaking, listening, reading and writing, but the most important of all is enjoying the language and improving communication.
Elementary is A2 on the Common European Framework of Reference. In addition to the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, new elements at this level are:
- improve vocabulary
- use future tenses, present perfect and past continuous
- used to and use of modals
- expressing purpose correctly
- use of question tags predominantly in spoken language
- use relative and reflexive pronouns
- appropriate use of adverbs
- some phrasal and prepositional verbs
- write a short connected text on descriptive or narrative topics
- read and understand a text from a familiar range of topics
- ask and answer questions about past or present events
- distinguish between and use a variety of tenses in familiar contexts: past, present and future
express basic intention, purpose, obligation, preference and advice
