They will learn simple phrases such as:

- What is your name? My name is………
- How old are you? I am … years old.
Where do you come from? I come from………. - Where do you live? I live in…………

This will include what we call “survival language”, for example, phrases such as:
- I am hungry/thirsty/sick/tired/sad
- I need to go to the toilet
- Following simple instructions
We will also work on the sounds of the English language, known as phonics, which are the building blocks to learning to read. There will be a different theme each week, and activities will be linked to these.
