Greek Independence Day

Honouring Greek Independence Day

As part of the preparations for Greek Independence Day, a selected group of our Year 12 and 13 students proudly represented TLC in the commemorative parade.

Students from schools across the community came together to take part in this important national event, demonstrating respect and appreciation for the history and significance of the occasion.

Across Cyprus, Greek Independence Day is marked with ceremonies, parades, and wreath-laying at local monuments, honouring those who played an important role in the nation’s history and remembering the values of courage, unity, and freedom.

Our students represented TLC with great pride, maturity, and respect throughout the event, reflecting the values and spirit of our school community. It was wonderful to see them participating so thoughtfully in such a meaningful national occasion alongside students from across the district.

Taking part in events like these provides students with valuable opportunities to connect with history, tradition, and community while developing a deeper understanding of the importance of remembrance and national identity.

Well done to all of our Year 12 and 13 students for representing TLC so wonderfully throughout the day.
